1965 Dodge D-200 Utiline Stepside pickup truck

This is a dodge stepside that I believe was a military truck originally. It is army green underneath the undercoating. It then belonged to the city of St. Maries Idaho since 1985. The odometer reads 10,166, which I believe is original but I have no way to verify that. Below are the details on the dodge. I would drive it as-is, but it would be a cool one to convert to 4×4. I have more pics I can send and video. Clear title.

MECHANICAL

The pickup has the 225 slant six cylinder with the standard 4-speed transmission. The engine runs nice and starts up every time. It does not smoke and does not have any leaks of concern. It has the normal old truck “seepage” but no dripping leaks. There is no water in the oil, or oil in the water. The truck does not overheat. The heater and wipers work. All lights work. The brakes work fine and the master cylinder us new. This truck did have power brakes originally, but the factory brake booster had been bypassed when I got the truck. The power brake booster is under the floor and most people convert these to a power booster on the firewall like modern trucks. The engine is quiet and runs smooth. The clutch works fine and all gears work properly. This has 19.5 non-split rims. The truck drives ok, but needs tires. It’s easy to switch it to a 16″ or other sized rims. I have many undercarriage/floor pics I can send, as well as video.

BODY

The body is very solid and sound for an unrestored truck this old. There is no external rust. The front floors have minor rust on both sides. No holes showing the ground or anything like that. There is no other rust-through. The truck is very dry The doors, hood, windows and tailgate open/close as they should. The body has several dings and scratches. The paint is not nice. The front and rear bumpers are custom built and very stout. The windshield is cracked but usable I guess depending on the person.

INTERIOR

The interior is pretty basic but looks to be original. The seat is original under the seat cover and has the usual wear. The floormat is original. The is a radio delete truck. The pics tell the story. I can help find you a glovebox door. It was gone when I purchased the truck.

OVERALL: It’s a cool old truck that can be used as-is or restored. Sold as-is.
